Purchase Euro with Australian Dollars. Your amount will round to 5 Euro. We will provide you with a mix of denominations. If you need something specific please enter a comment at the bottom of the checkout page.
18 countries make up the Eurozone: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia,Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. The Euro is also used as the currency in San Marino, The Vatican, Andorra, Monaco, Montenegro and Kosovo.
The Euro was introduced in 2000 and became the common currency and sole legal tender of the 17 member countries. If you do still have old pre-Euro notes these can still be exchanged in these countries (eg Italian Lire) but they cannot be exchanged in Australia.
The Currency Exchange keeps a stock of Euros (in a range of denominations) so you don’t usually need to order them in advance, but that can be a good idea if you are after a larger amount or are travelling at a busy time. If you require larger notes (eg 500s) we will generally need to order these in for you.
ATMs will be available in most cities and in most smaller towns. All ATMs will dispense local currency (in denominations of 100 and lower). For your Cash Passport we recommend loading Euro as it is one of the currencies available on the card. You will be able to use your Cash Passport card in all shops – anywhere the MasterCard logo is displayed.
